Fall Play - Puffs
Sanderson Theatre Classes
Technical Theatre I teaches both theory and hands elements for technical theatre, focusing on scenery design and construction.
Technical Theatre II and III provides experienced students the opportunity to lead teams in completion of all technical elements of theatre.
STE Production Company (Honors) is made up Advanced Acting and Technical students. This ensemble competes in the North Carolina Theatre Conference (NCTC) High School Play Festival each Fall. STE Production Company has advanced to State competition 7 times in the last 9 years and advanced from the State Competition to the Southeastern Regional Theatre Conference High School Play Festival three times. No other WCPSS school has advanced SETC.
Theatre Arts I and Technical Theatre Arts I are open to all students as an entry level course. Placement into Theatre Arts II/III and Technical Theatre II/III require recommendation from Theatre Arts teacher as part of the registration process. Placement into STE Production Company is by audition only.

Sanderson ITS Troupe 5843
ITS, short for International Thespian Society, is an international honor society for high school theatre students. Sanderson has an active student chapter, and eligible students are invited to join at the end of year once they have earned a certain number of qualifying points. Points are awarded based on participation in shows (both as cast and crew), Sanderson theatre classes, membership of a junior thespian society and various volunteer opportunities with the Sanderson theatre department.
Students accruing enough points during the year, will receive an invitation to induct in March 2024. Induction occurs annually at our Sandersony Awards program, June 3rd, 2024. Sanderson's ITS Troupe meets monthly.

- Rehearsals most likely begin in early-mid September.
- Show nights most likely in late October/Early November
